Our Mission

Almost Home Sheltie Rescue is a dedicated, all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to giving Collies, Shelties, and their mixes a second chance at a happy life. Since 2003, we have helped hundreds of dogs find safety, healing, and loving forever homes. Our mission is to provide homeless and abandoned dogs with a safe and caring environment where they receive the medical attention, nutritious food, compassion, and love they deserve while waiting for their forever families.

Judy, Today is Willow’s 3rd Birthday! She is such a precious and sweet girl. We are kept in line with her precise ability to tell time. She is slightly OCD….. daily meals are gently asked for by a paw tap on our leg, the blinds have to be opened and closed at certain times, also, on schedule are walks, snacks and a nap on my lap at 3:00pm.
